"Bravo 455: We teabag our own!"

avg. age: 32   mics required
Americas - most members are Pacific Time (US & Canada) time zone.

A bunch of ladies and gentlemen that aren't afraid to shoot stuff in the face, shoulder charge each other off cliffs, die to Chubby bubbles, grieve when the raid doesn't drop what we wanted, wipe a million times on a new raid for several weeks, play drinking games during Iron Banana, and teabag our fellow guardians when they fuck up and die somehow.

Note from group mod:

Welcome to Bravo 455!

New here? Don't worry, we don't bite. Check the "Group Guidelines and Advice" section below.

Thanks to mtn drewsky94 for this awesome clan crest!

The Weekly Notice (For older posts and other words from us, check the mods section)

Season 2 will begin on December 5. Telesto, Jade Rabbit, or "Thorn?" Decisions, decisions...
Also, cue the Osiris-Birdperson jokes.

There has been a small uptick in Battle.net join requests in the Bravo 455 clan chat notifications recently.
Note that the clan is close to capacity with just Xbox members, and we will not approve PC requests. If you want to join a PC clan, we have a sister group, Echo Company 449. There's a direct link to the group page in the CONNECTING WITH THE GROUP ELSEWHERE section below.

Introductions

Greetings guardians! Thank you for taking the time to visit this little corner of our clan’s home. My name is RazorCrane. When not dropping bubbles and shooting things in the face, I spend way too much time haunting the Destiny grimoire and poking around the more obscure dark corners of our system. Destiny has a very rich and deep lore that's intrigue is matched only by its elusiveness. Learning of the various stories and theories surrounding the enemies, weapons, people, and places we explore can add an entire new level of richness to the experience.

In the months ahead I will try to bring to you brief summaries of the history and various mysteries of Destiny. These posts will contain everything from in-game lore and text from the grimoire cards to real life science and popular theory. Destiny’s lore follows in the footsteps of works such as J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth and Miyazaki’s Souls series in so much as very few things are clearly explained or absolutely defined. Aspects of the lore are purposely left ambiguous to not only leave the reader wanting more, but also to allow each individual to form their own thoughts and opinions about the story they experience.

This can be very rewarding for the Guardian because, in a way, you become part of the creative process. I say this because I want you to understand that many of the things you read will be my personal interpretation of the various bits of information we are given. My thoughts might not match your own theories and I make absolutely no claim that what I write is the one true answer. I am no expert or scientist, only an enthusiast. You have clan mates that have researched the lore as much or more than I. Talk to them. Start a conversation and see where it goes.

I hope what I have to share with you entertains and inspires you to ask yourself “whose face is this, and why am I shooting it?”

See you out there Guardians!

The Wall of Awesome is a place for us to recognize the moments where one Guardian makes a difference and does something awesome. Did someone pull off a clutch save? Did someone get an incredible kill streak against strong opposition to win a match that was lost? This is where we will recognize and remember these events, because sometimes we are amazing!

To submit a story for the Wall of Awesome, please send an email with the date of the game, the subject of your story, and a quick blurb about what happened to [email protected]

THE WALL OF AWESOME!

  • April 8th, 2017 - Little Teacher, Eddie Holla, Sparksadooby420, Sepascha, LadyMarmalade01, and mtn drewsky94 - Drunk? No problem, we'll one-shot Atheon twice! Watch HERE.

  • November 5-7, 2016 – Androm3da, Abomination89, Evil Abed1, Psielite, Persephone87, jawz504, ItSkIlLz10, chubbynubbes, acap51990, Privatepress, and shadows802 – Sometimes, mods have good intentions. A 1v1 tournament where the winner gets a game of their choice? Easier said than done. These guardians were willing to withstand no-shows, mismatched communications, lag, and more in our group's very first Crucible tournament. Let their names stand for eternity, and that better planning is needed for a more successful outcome.

  • October 20th 2016 – chubbynubbes and his Fireteam – Armed with their best weapons, armor and Sparkle Pony, the fireteam of chubbynubbes, Androm3da, A Bed Thief, Persephone87, Evil Abed1 and OmegaMnky challenged the devil splicers in the Heroic Wrath of the Machine raid and came out victorious for the first reported all Bravo455 clear of the new hard mode raid! A Key moment was having to spend 2 plus hours spent killing Vosik, followed by doing the rest of the raid in the same amount of time! Congrats 455 raiders!

  • September 30th, 2016 – JaqueAMo – No one expects a completion attempt run to become a Sherpa run in a day, especially only one week after it came out, but EdTheMadman550's fifth attempt in a week ended up that way. Shorthanded by two people, JaqueAMo volunteers to take one of the empty spots, and a mic-less friend of one of the other fireteam members took the other. With the knowledge of JaqueAMo and EdTheMadman550, perseverance, and some luck, the fireteam gets to the final room and came so close to giving four people an artifact/ghost and the subsequent light boost. Not bad for a team with 4 guys new to that part of the raid and one without a mic.

  • September 26th, 2016 – SD350 & his fireteam – With only hours left before the weekly reset, SD350 and his fireteam of Zerofr0mHoles, Zcupper15, TobiasXVA, and Girth Brooks74 ventured into the Plaguelands once more to finally put down Vosik, the Zamboni of Death, and Aksis, leading to the first confirmed completion of the Wrath of the Machine raid in Bravo 455!

  • August 21, 2016 – Ladymarmalade01 (again) & her fireteam – How does Flawless Raider in about 20 minutes sound? Watch HERE.

  • June 5th, 2016 – Ladymarmalade01 & her fireteam – With 2 King’s Fall HM raid newbies in tow, Ladymarmalade01 and her fireteam fought through the raid and completed the Oryx challenge. Highlights included a clutch save at Golgoroth after 4 Guardians were down and LadyMarmalade01 successfully running relic for the first time at HM Oryx flawlessly.

The Wall of Shame is a place for us to recognize the big screw-ups that are both devastating and hilarious. Did you manage to kill the majority of the team with unstable light at Golgoroth? Did you drop a bubble around a teammate just as they fired a rocket? Did you try to shoulder charge someone in Iron Banner and instead fling yourself off the map? This is where we will recognize and remember these events, lest we get too cocky.

To submit a story for the Wall of Shame, please send an email with the date of the game, the subject of your story, and a quick blurb about what happened to [email protected]

THE WALL OF SHAME!

  • May 2016: chubbynubbes – Literally 15 seconds after being reminded to check for Unstable Light at Golgoroth, killed the majority of the fireteam, causing a wipe.
6-16-16 Addendum: On the very next King’s Fall raid, during the Golgy fight ChubbyNubbes hopped out of the pool after getting Unstable Light and claim “See guys, I learned my lesson”. On the next cycle, ChubbyNubbes got unstable light again and killed the fireteam, which caused a wipe. Lesson not learned.

  • August 21, 2016 – Ladymarmalade01 & her fireteam – Never celebrate a Flawless Raider run in 20 minutes with rockets, grenades, bubbles, and "digital cameras." Watch this incidental clusterfuck HERE.

  • August 25, 2016: Ready for a speedrun, A Bed Thief and the rest of her fireteam (Evil Abed1, chubbynubbes, Ladymarmelade01, mtn drewsky94, and jawz504) screwed up every part of the Kings Fall Hard Mode raid. Memorable moments include chubbynubbes dying 1 minute into the raid, multiple wipes at every stage and finally, Ladymarmalade01 killing the entire fireteam with unstable light. After a reminder of unstable light she said, "oh..." followed immediately by explosion and wipe. To their credit they did complete the “speed” run, just 43 minutes slower than Bravo455’s record at the time. Worst speedrun ever.

  • April 6, 2017 - chubbynubbes (again) -

  • April 7, 2017 - OmegaMnky - It's hard to describe, but what happens when you get cocky? Well, for starters, you start to think that you have your super, but you don't. What happens is 5 minutes of panic and scrambling around the battlefield claiming that everything is fine while Crota keeps moving around. Or is it?

The Wall of Speed is a place for us to recognize that once we get good enough to master a raid, strike, challenge, or racetrack, the next step is to get good enough to complete it quickly. Proper planning, experience, and good team work can completely change the pace of a raid, strike, challenge, or race. It’s impressive to be good, it’s more impressive to be good and fast.

To submit a time for the Wall of Speed, please send an email with the members of your fireteam and a screenshot from the Mission Results with your completion time visible to [email protected]

The Wall of Duels is where we acknowledge and honor the guardians of Bravo 455 who did "git gud, scrub" and proved it by beating their fellow Bravo 455 guardians in controlled, organized combat.

Unlike the rest of the Hall of Records, entry here is only earned by winning. Only a top-3 result from a Bravo 455 private tournament can grant entry on this list.
