The 100 is a tool for planning games in advance. Many of the fine folks in Pax Arcadia work full time/are parents/live with very patient non-gamer significant others, and they know exactly when they will have time to play during the week. This website is designed to help them make the most of their time, by making sure there are enough people to do a given activity. If you are looking for a group RIGHT NOW, you will have a hard time finding one here; instead, try the forum, the clan page on Bungie's website, or check out the slick new in-game Clan features. (Or venture into the wilds of the LFG sites, if you're truly brave…)
- Create game sessions ahead of time. Go with at least a day or two in advance, if possible; this gives plenty of time for players to sign up.
- Ensure that “Group Only" is selected, that way it will only be fellow Pax Arcadians. Otherwise, you might get Rando Calrissians crashing the party and eating all your Totino's.
- Try to be online 5-10 minutes before the game is scheduled to begin, and make sure your profile is set to appear online on Xbox Live.
- If you are the session leader, send out invites on time. If you are going to be late, drop a message in the session’s chat lobby to let everyone know. Make sure to invite everyone, even if they appear offline-- sometimes people forget to change their profile status.
- If a game you want to join is full, join as a reserve; if there is a no-show, then they will be looking for people to fill up the fireteam. If you do sign up as a reserve, please make sure you are actually available and online at the scheduled time. And hey, if there are enough reserves, you can always set up an overflow game.
- If you join a game but later find out you cannot make it to the session, then please withdraw ASAP to open a slot for someone else. If it turns out you cannot attend the game you have created, alert the group in the session’s chat lobby using the '@all' command; this will generate an email to everyone who has signed up for the session, and allow them to either look for a new session leader, or disband to join other games.
- If you have friends who are not on The 100 that you want to include in your game, you can reserve a spot for them. When creating the game, click on “more options,” and then set the “current party size” to include your non-100 friend(s). If you forget to do this, please make sure to let the other people in the group know, so they can find another game if necessary.
- Beginners are always welcome! If it's your first time doing an activity or you'd just like some guidance from an experienced player, you can click the option for "Sherpa Requested" when creating a game. (And to the veterans out there, you can earn coveted Sherpa Points by joining these sessions!)
- Remember to thank your sherpas, they've taken time out of their day to help show you the ropes. Say something nice about their cleft, they'll appreciate it.
- Ask Bogey about bumper cars. He loves it.
